Hits Of The 90's

Released in December 1991 in Japan,, this rare 7-track mini-album EP showcases the artistry and talent of British singer-songwriter Julia Fordham.

The centerpiece is the lush, timeless ballad "(Love Moves In) Mysterious Ways," originally recorded for the Demi Moore film The Butcher's Wife. While international markets integrated the track into a reissued edition of her studio album "Swept", Japan received this exclusive compilation instead. The track grew into an enduring pop standard, cementing Fordham’s legendary popularity in the Philippines. Decades later, her soulful melodies remain radio staples across the Philippine islands, celebrated through widespread covers and a massive, devoted local fanbase.

A major highlight for physical music collectors is Fordham's breathtaking cover of Minnie Riperton's 1974 classic "Loving You". Infusing the soul standard with her signature deep, velvety voice, Fordham strips back the original's high-register whistle notes in favor of a smoky, intimate jazz-pop performance. This stunning rendition effortlessly bridges the gap between classic soul and modern adult contemporary songwriting.

The exclusive mini-album also features the rare, elusive track "Melt," which Fordham recorded specifically for the 1991 Japanese film The Flying Pennta, alongside timeless alternative favorites like "The Naked Truth" and "Happy Ever After".
